Did you know that September is Fruits & Veggies - More Matters Month? At Concorde, we want all of our students, faculty, and associates to be healthy. You need all the energy you can get when working hard and studying in a health care program and pursuing a health care career. Fruits & Veggies - More Matters Month is all about focusing attention on eating MORE fruits and vegetables. It's about health care awareness.

More than 90 percent of both adults and children don't eat the number of fruits and vegetables recommended by the latest Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the MyPlate nutrition guide. Fruits & Veggies - More Matters says to add one more helping of fruits and veggies at every meal. Try something new. Educate yourself. Teach the kids. Try a new recipe. It suggests filling half your plate with fruits and veggies at every meal. All forms - fresh, frozen, canned, dried and 100 percent juice count!

Again, it's all about health care awareness. To help with that health care awareness, here is an infographic with a lot of great information about the benefits of adding fruits and vegetables to your daily caloric intake.
