Miramar Dental Assistant Program Director

Dr Enrique Mendez, DDS, CDA

As a child, my first visit to the dentist was incredible, loved all the tools Dr. Ortega used to care for me. I knew that I wanted to do that, make people feel better, create smiles, and educate them. Now as a dentist and educator, I am leaving a legacy.

We are a hands-on program, built upon practical fundamentals, while also introducing some of the most recent and up-to-date products and skills to help students adapt to the ever-changing field of dentistry. With a combined 35 years in dentistry, our faculty understands what it is like to be a student, graduate and work in the field. We bring that experience with our passion for dentistry to every class and lab.

I'm motivated by the opportunity to give back through education and by the smiles on my students faces when they master a new concept or skill. Moreover, I love to hear from my students after they graduate and what they're doing in the field. It is so rewarding to learn how I may have helped change their life. That's my Legacy.
