Pacific Dental Services Foundation award students scholarships

Pacific Dental Services Foundation recently announced their Spring 2024 Dental Assistant Scholarship recipients. Five Concorde students were among the 13 recipients of their Dr. Carolyn Ghazal Dental Assistant Scholarship, including Jacqueline Gomez from Garden Grove, Nadine Gonzales from San Antonio, Esmirna King and Teaghan Townsend from San Diego, and Brooke Talley from Tampa.

According to the foundation, the scholarship provides dental assistant students with need-based financial aid, mentorship, on-the-job training, and aims to mold the next generation of passionate, servant-hearted dental leaders.

A long-term partner of Concorde, Pacific Dental Services (PDS) first became a Concorde extern employer in California, and the partnership has grown deeper over the years. Most recently, their Smile Generation-trusted offices sponsored pediatric dental events at Concorde Dental Hygiene Clinics in Orlando, Aurora and Memphis.

“We are grateful for Pacific Dental Services’ longstanding commitment to our students’ success. Their collaboration, student mentorship and support have helped nurture and grow the next generation of dental professionals,” said Nancy Jones, vice president of student affairs at Concorde.

PDS first established its foundation in 2016. To date, 105 Concorde students across the country have received over $811,000 in scholarships. Read the full scholarship announcement from PDS in their newsroom.
